10. How there is a wealth of variety and hidden knowledge in everything (part 1)

I never thought that the photographing of thrown out couches would take me on so many journeys, and make me aware of how no matter how much someone knows about any one subject, there will always be more that they do not know. There are numerous names for the different types of couches, a bit like horses, and that there are almost an infinite number of permutations and combinations even when there are only a few variables. I have been going through my more than 2,000 couches looking for a match – somehow I feel there must be one somewhere – but not sure.
