Restarting my couch blog (weekly this time) - Thrown out couches in the MAC

We went to see the biennale exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Montreal and I was a bit surprised to see this work by Taysir Batniji from his series of photos taken in Bahrain. His work is ",,,,,displacement disappearance and illusion are central continuing themes." 

Maybe one day I will be acknowledged.

I went back after work to see if perhaps they had taken all the other garbage, and would leave just the couch for a better photo op. It was interesting that it was gone - but that they left a bookcase and a TV. My theory that this year there are 10 TVs thrown out for every couch may be put into question, as it may just be possible that TVs are staying around longer and therefore seem more plentiful.

One of the prime locations - but not so many this year.

Last week there was a very interesting yellow striped couch very close to this spot that I saw from the car as we were driving downtown. This location is on my lunchtime walks but the next morning I couldn't wait and went there first thing in the morning - but it was already gone.

My lunchtime walk usually takes the same route - This is the location where there were the three burgundy couches in the tempo. Today the tempo was gone and there were these two new couches!

Have to be quite talented to see a couch like this - It was on one of those sloping driveways with a car parked in front. I sometimes wonder when watching a show like "America's got Talent" as to how did they ever acquire that skill - and what use is it ? - Well the skill to find couches falls squarely in these categories.

It is interesting how you think there will not be a couch - and suddenly there is one. Some are not there long as the next morning on the way to work it was gone. Yet others can remain for weeks!
